Little Oud - Honduran Rosewood Burl Miniature
Little Oud The oud is an old-world instrument, 10-12 strings, ancestor of the lute, and well-known in the Middle East. The body, neck, headstock, fretboard, and "mustache" of this little guy were hand crafted from Honduran rosewood burl (HRB) heartwood, with contrasting HRB sapwood acoustic holes, and a solid brass bridge. This is hand craftsmanship at its best, a collector's or musician's piece, using no computerization or chemical finishes in its making. Saleh, the Little Oud comes mounted on a mixed exotic hardwood base, and encased in a glass dome.
