Diva Violin - Honduran Rosewood Burl Miniature
Diva Violin - Honduran Rosewood Burl Miniature. This is the undoubted queen of our mini luthier collection. This intricate creation was painstakingly carved (approximately 60 hours of labor) from seven individual components: body, neck, fingerboard, fiddlehead, bridge, tailpiece, and button. It is a true collector's or musician's piece. The body and fiddlehead are made from Honduran rosewood burl (HRB) heartwood; The bridge, neck, and button are spalted HRB sapwood, and the fretboard and tailpiece are zericote. This is Old World hand craftsmanship at its best, using no computerization techniques or chemical finishes. "The Diva" comes mounted on a variegated hardwood base, and encased in a glass dome.
